The beginning of Marley's was the culmination of a dream conceived by one of its founders, Eric Cloutier. After recently completing a very successful professional hockey career, Eric delved into several different endeavors, including day trading and real estate speculation. Although these ventures were highly lucrative, they left him less than satisfied and uninspired; Eric was missing the excitement and spontaneity he so loved from his hockey playing days. It was at this time that he began putting together the concept for Marley's. He envisioned a place here the love of sports, having a good time and beautiful young women could come together in a tasteful, casual and upscale environment. Enter Eric's longtime friend and mentor, Andy Monceaux. Andy, already a very successful club owner and operator for several years, enthusiastically endorsed Eric's vision. Together, they brought Eric's dream to fruition. Construction was done by themselves witht the help of several friends. Long days and even longer nights ran into one another, but the one thought that kept everything going was what lay at the end. Finally, after four months of blood, sweat and yes, tears, Marley's was ready to open. From that first day, Marley's was a phenomenal success. Even today after several years, Marley's is still going strong because of Eric and Andy's commitment to quality and customer service. Marley's today is as fresh and vibrant as the very first day it opened.
